Silverado Middle School: Community Profile

Silverado Middle School is located in the rapidly developing northwest area of Roseville, California.  Roseville has grown from a bustling railroad town centered on its massive rail yards to a thriving city of over 90,000 residents.  Roseville has become the corporate home to some of the largest computer and electronics companies in the world.

Roseville is located in Placer County just 16 miles northeast of Sacramento, the state capital. Scenic natural areas, an extensive park system, bike trails and playgrounds are all close by. Roseville is adjacent to the massive Folsom Lake and is within an hour’s drive of the towns of the California Gold Rush.

The City of Roseville describes itself as:  “A dynamic city with friendly people, outstanding community services, scenic beauty and prosperous businesses. Roseville's moderate climate, excellent schools, expanding job opportunities and nearby recreation areas attract new residents who are looking for a great place to live, work, raise a family or retire.” Roseville has been named by CNN Money as one of America’s “best places to retire.”

Silverado Middle School is one of two middle schools in the Dry Creek Joint School District.  For high school, Silverado students attend nearby Woodcreek High, part of the Roseville Joint Union High School District.
