John Glenn Middle School of International Studies: Schedule

At JGMS, we have an A/B blocking schedule. Our students attend four 80-minute blocked classes denoted as “A” classes in their schedules. “A” blocked periods are attended on Monday and Thursday, with “B” blocked periods attended on Wednesday and Friday. Our students also attend a 30-minute ASAP class which serves as a study hall and advisory every block day.

Bell Schedule A/B Day

1A/B: 7:30 – 8:50

2A/B: 8:50 – 10:10

3A/B: 10:10 – 11:30

1 ST Lunch: 11:30 – 12:10

1 ST ASAP: 11:30 – 12:00

2 nd Lunch: 12:00 – 12:40

2 nd ASAP: 12:10 – 12:40

4A/B: 12:44 – 2:04

Tuesdays are minimum days for students. Students visit all the courses in their schedule with the exception of ASAP. The courses are only 30 minutes in length.

1A: 7:30 – 8:00

1B: 8:00 – 8:30

2A: 8:30 – 9:00

2B: 9:00 – 9:30

3A: 9:30 – 10:00

3B: 10:00 – 10:30

Lunchtime: 10:30 – 11:10

4A: 11:14 – 12:14

ERT: 12:14 – 2:20

ERT refers to Early Release Time. During ERT, teachers collaborate in departments, grade levels, and/or academies to provide the best possible educational experience for students. In addition, this time is used for staff development and articulation with feeder schools.
