J.F. Kennedy Middle School: Schedule
For the 2004-2005 school year, J.F. Kennedy Middle School employed three different bell schedules during the week. We had a different bell schedule for in-service Monday, block Tuesday and Wednesday, and regular Thursday and Friday. The staff voted to use Monday mornings as in-service time. On Mondays, classes start at 9 a.m. instead of 8 a.m. On Tuesdays and Wednesdays, the staff voted to have a block schedule to allow more time in class to present extended lessons, experiments, or other activities that required more than 51 minutes. On block days, the staff agreed to have a rotating schedule to allow each teacher to have access to their last period students for after-school tutoring at least once every 3 weeks. On Thursdays and Fridays, we use the regular schedule.
