Rancho Milpitas Middle School Principal: Leticia Villa-Gascon
Leticia has worked in the Milpitas Unified School District as an assistant principal for the past 5 years. She received her B.A. in liberal studies and a multiple teaching credential with an emphasis in cross-cultural bilingual studies and Spanish from the National Hispanic University in San Jose, Calif. Later, she earned an M.S. in Educational Administration and an administrative credential from National University . During her career in education, Leticia has been an elementary teacher, middle grades teacher, high school teacher, elementary assistant principal, middle school assistant principal, and principal. She was also selected as the ACSA Region 8 Middle Grades Co-Administrator of the year. Leticia believes that every child can learn and succeed. Her focus at Rancho Milpitas Middle School has been on narrowing the achievement gap. Her commitment has led her to organize a committee to examine and make recommendations for this goal. She promotes unity between parents and staff through the Latino and Black student/parent organizations and other innovative programs.
