Gaspar de Portola Middle School: Schedule

Students attend six periods daily. In sixth grade, a number of students are given the opportunity to take band as an elective and must enroll in “Zero Period” to fulfill their required class schedule. In grades seven and eight, students can take up to two electives if students elect to enroll in Zero or Seventh Period. School begins at 8:47 a.m. and runs until 3:30 p.m. Zero and Seventh Period occur four days per week on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays. There are 10 minimum days per year when students attend school from 8:47 a.m. to 12:47 p.m. to support staff development and two parent conference days.

KBAR 1:18 pm – 1:40 pm

Fifth Period 1:40 pm – 2:32 pm

Sixth Period 2:37 pm – 3:30 pm

Seventh Period 3:35 pm – 4:35 pm (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday)
