Frank Wright Middle School: Principal

Chuck Bush has served as Principal of Frank Wright Middle School since August of 2001. In that time, the school has gone from a population of only 367 students in the seventh and eighth grades to nearly 800 students in grades six through eight. In August of 2006, FWMS opened at a new site to accommodate the growing population.

Chuck earned a bachelor's degree in aeronautics from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in 1994, and earned his teaching credential from Chapman University in 1995, all while on active duty in the U.S. Navy. He later earned his administrative credential and M.A. in curriculum and instruction from Chapman University .

During his career in education, Chuck has been a high school math teacher, adult education teacher, a middle grades teacher, assistant principal, and principal.

Chuck has a strong belief that all students can be successful if they are given the proper support. He firmly believes that, as educators, we have an obligation to provide whatever is necessary for student success. The focus at Frank Wright has been on the development and implementation of intervention and support programs for student populations that have been traditionally underachieving. This is achieved through strong ties to the community, partnerships with civic organizations, and unconditional dedication by every member of the staff.

Middle school philosophy and collaboration are the hallmarks of Chuck's leadership style. The staff of Frank Wright Middle School continues to champion middle school ideals in their efforts to provide the best possible education for the students they serve.
